Happy Weather

Another day but mood is different
There is something about this weather which makes me feel good

I'm feeling happy and want to express myself with a zing
Hidden feelings and suppressed emotions, wish to do everything

Like this hot earth has let it's steam off with first drop of rain
I'm spreading my arms and smiling leaving aside egos, inhibitions and pain

Smell of wet earth and aroma of fresh air
I'm taking a deep breath and innocence is prevalent everywhere

Far from the world of boundaries, confinement and yes or no's
This is my freedom and this is being myself

I wish you could feel

I wish you could feel the way I feel
My pain, agony and fear hidden deep inside

You could have understand & support me when it was needed
So I could move ahead keeping these evils aside

There are rocks and cliffs against whom sea keep coming but they don’t pay any heed
But then there are shores which comfort and calm the waves of turbulent sea when in need.

I needed shore not those rock and cliff
Your help to resolve my inner tiff

I wish I could rip apart my heart and show you there is more than arteries and veins
How bruised it is when no-one heal it and lessen the pain

You have heard about the mysterious nature of sea
But no-one goes deep inside the sea to unlock those mysteries

When I was running directionless with my plight
I wish you had kept your arms open and hold me tight

True love and genuine care is all I need
Rest everything is immaterial and I don’t even pay heed

What drives Bollywood flicks and aam janta

An average Indian has always lived in a world of fantasies, few by their choices and most of their deprivation. No doubt when they see such fantasies being fulfilled on big screen their heart fills with joy and start enjoying the craziness far away from reality. When a hero beats a dozen people bare handed and romances the prettiest girl in most exquisite locations and craziest situations audience get all worth of the money they spent on this little dreamland journey. Till the time people will not stop craving about such fantasies or do not experience and live such moments to know how it is actually in reality, this big industry will exploit this thought process to make more such movies.

One should not wonder how such story less or fantasy movies are the biggest success which repetitively enter the exclusive 100 crore club as it is simply because maximum Indians still have greed in their heart for desires, experiences not enough to develop a conscience and deprivation of their basic and fundamental needs which results in a perfect rebellion or messiah character on screen. Travel to west and it is a completely different scenario where movies are either based on real characters you can find in everyday life or even if such fantasy movies are made, they first have to convince the audience about how a hero has turned into a superhero either via technology or by some silly science logic. This is only because majority people in west are more content by their life as they get the necessary freedom and faces no discrimination or partiality to live life on their own terms and even if they fail, there is no one else to blame for.

Someone very rightly said that cinema is nothing but reflection of our society. So whenever any character based movie whose protagonist is not far away from what we see in everyday’s life rakes a good amount, it feels good that society is now collectively becoming better and moving in a right direction. These movies thus turn out to be a perfect tool to measure and check where our society is heading.

Emotion that should Die

It is always holding you back
Not allowing to display skills which you don't lack

It is a coward emotion hidden deep inside your heart
Overpower your head and that is it's most fierce art

Living on you like a parasite whose weight you have to bear
We commonly call this self destruction emotion nothing but fear

Stops you from moving forward, giving you cold feet
You have to understand it is your enemy whom you have to defeat

Little courage is all you need to take a small step ahead
Then smile at it and it will find it's own death bed

How I Wish

How I wish I had a time machine which could take me back to childhood
Doing in a different way a lot of things in which I'm still not good

Discipline and Determination are the attributes which I've realized today make you excel
But their absence has build up lethargy and laid back approach which have strongly gel

How I wish I could have learnt Guitar at a tender age and sing songs
Now I've got one but even playing the basic strings is taking too long

I understand sports today and knows the skill set and nuances of game
Back then even on my first failure I used to look for some reasons to blame

How I wish I had the same decision making power and understanding of life which I possess today
Then people who praise me today for my thinking power would have instead been in my awe on seeing me making hay

I've to work hard today to even accomplish a smaller, useless or irrelevant goal
If I had my actions taken at that time, then everything would have been under control

How I wish I could still have the Discipline and Determination for rest of my life which will be challenging and vast
So that my future doesn't regret on my present as my present regrets on my past

Magic of Dialogues

There are simple lines, there are meaningful sentences and then there are dialogues which have some charm attached to them that makes them etched on to your memory. They bring smile to your face and urge you to repeat them till the time you don't get over it but still when in good mood you do want to use these dialogues at the right time and they do make some impact. That is their magic.

Recently 2 film dialogues that have caught my attention big time are "Meri Ek Khasiyat Hai - Main Marta Kam Hun Ghaseetata Jayada Hun" and "Mujh par ek ehsaan karna. ki Mujh par koi ehsaan na karna". I was in my office canteen and was dragging some topic for a long time with a colleague to which he said "Ab itna bhi mat ghaseet baat ko" and then I got an opportunity to say meri ek khasiyat hai dialogue and it gave me immense pleasure. Although these are not the first and only dialogues that have inspired me but its the first time that I used a dialogue as a part of my daily conversation.

Dry Weekend

First of all let me make it clear that "Dry" here does not mean I've been deprived of beer, whiskey or rum because these are things which I anyway don't drink as they make you dumb. Sorry to all alcoholics but I've seen a lot of sensible guys trying to fly in sky after getting high and a guy measuring 5'5 inches & weighing 50 kg saying to a 6'2 and 80kg guy "If anyone try to bully you just give a call to your brother (referring to himself), Your brother will beat the hell out of them". After few drinks Mr Pilot's plane crashes in his own vomiting and Mr Hercules finds it difficult to bear his own weight.

Its Dry for me because since march all my weekends have been really colorful filled with fun & frolic. Hanging out with friends & watching movies has almost become a weekend routine. First time I thought week is more interesting as you have something to do. You go to office, chat with your office friends and most importantly work always keep you busy. But I hope this weekend won't repeat itself as this boring and dry weekend has given me a chance to think upon a lot of things which I was not doing for a long time. There is always a blessing in disguise and I hope I'll be able to implement most of these which I've given a long thought this dry weekend.
